International School Research Exchange Seminar
We hold seminars in the form of lecture meetings by researchers invited from abroad and presentations of research by graduate students, UCRC researchers, and faculty members of our Graduate School of Literature and Human Sciences. This program is designed to promote international academic exchange activities.
Every year, we organize a seminar in collaboration with the UCRC (Urban-Culture Research Center) project. Researchers are invited from research institutions of many different countries; for example, the University of Illinois (United States) and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).
The contents of this seminar are later published in the form of a report.
International School Lecture & Seminar Series
The International School has held the IS Lecture & Seminar Series since 2010 in order to support the further vigorous research activities by faculty members, junior researchers and graduate students of the Graduate School of Literature and Human Sciences, Osaka City University as well as the improvement of ability to share their research achievements with the world. This program has focused not only on creating the environment where they can regularly discuss with foreign researchers in daily research and educational activities but also on supporting research activities using various foreign languages which are not limited to English. In order to achieve these goals, the International School has funded lecturers’ rewards and their travel expenses, etc. for lectures, seminars and research workshop, etc. by invited foreign researchers.
Establishment of an international educational network
We have expanded the network with overseas research institutions established through five years of COE project, aiming at the establishment of an international network for education at graduate schools.
