The duties of the editorial committee are the planning, editing, and publishing of the SLHS (Graduate School of Literature & Human Sciences) Books. We have started the planning and publishing of the series of SLHS Books in 2002.
The aims of the series are to make the achievements of research and education at SLHS public to Japan and the whole world, contribute to development of the humanities and social sciences, and also, to make great contributions for the better future of human beings.

What are published as SLHS Books:
1 Research achievements with great scientific value by the academic staff, post-doctoral graduates and graduate students of SLHS.
2 Achievements by the OCU Urban-Culture Research Center (UCRC: The 21st Century COE Program).
3 Reports of international academic meetings / symposiums by SLHS.
4 In addition, the important achievements of SLHS, which are deemed worth publishing.

The editorial committee consists of several members selected from SLHS and UCRC. The committee holds general monthly meetings and engages in the research activities of SLHS and UCRC.
